The presentation of Paul Harris Fellow (PHF) Recognition is The Rotary Foundations’ way of expressing its appreciation for a substantial contribution to its humanitarian and educational programs.  It is named for our founder, Paul Harris, a Chicago Lawyer who began Rotary International with three business associates in 1905.

Rotary Foundation Club Chair, Bill Manby, Sr. and PDG Jack Harig, with support from Matt Slonsky, hosted our Rotary Foundation presentation at our meeting on June 4th.

Jack provided an overview and history about the origins of the Paul Harris Fellow recognition

Jack and Bill both expressed appreciation to all who have donated to The Rotary Foundation throughout the years and explained the following levels listed in the program:

  • Our Club is honored to have two Arch Klumph Society Members - John Daily, and Jack & Vivian Harig. This distinguished level of giving indicates they have donated at least $250,000 to The Rotary Foundation.

  • Our Major Donors that are listed below have given >$10,000
  • The Bequest Society Members listed below have included The Rotary Foundation in their Wills/Estate Plans (if you have done so but are not listed, please let us know)
  • The Paul Harris Society Members listed are individuals who have committed to giving $1,000 per year to The Rotary Foundation (if your name is missing please let us know).

Bill presented the current Paul Harris Fellow recipients with their pins.

First year recipients also received their certificates.

  • First year PHF recipients: Nathanael Billow, Mella Castner, Jim Durr, Andrew Grover, Samuel Lupica, Judge Kathryn Michael and Brian Steere.
