ELITE SQUAD OF ROTARIANS INVADE SHORES OF REX LAKE

Camp clean-up day is a long observed Rotary tradition.  Over the decades, scores of Rotarians and their families and friends have fulfilled a mission that can best be described as raking-an-incredible-number-of-leaves and whatever else is on the Camp director's wish list.  Some people bring tools and equipment, some bring expertise (mine is trash removal), some (but not too many) bring brute strength.  All bring enthusiasm and a desire to be part of the miracles, big and small, that are made to happen at the camp.

our camp staff are human service rock stars.  Those of use who have shared the service opportunity of helping keep the camp looking good and working well are the all-important roadies.  It is a great and fulfilling way to spend a few hours on a Sat. I am always sorry for the ones who can't make it out.

Dan Reynolds own words tells us that besides the county's largest pile of leaves,  John Daily trimmed bushes by the office, Tom Fox was the master of the power sprayer at the white house.  Steve Shechter and Tim Gill did a fantastic job rooting through the dungeon.  Patty Schwalbach  and family removed the overgrown flower beds with the able assistance of Amador Gonzales and Tim Gill.  Sandy Naragon gave the health lodge a much needed make over.  Jack Harig was a renegade on the tractor – removing leaves and demolishing everything in his path.    Mike Wojno and the Camp Y-Noah staff came in at the end and finished up all of the loose ends.  It was a hugely successful day!
