We have a service project with Ronald McDonald House scheduled for Wednesday, August 27 at 3:00pm- 6:00pm.
The Project will consist of the following:
- Max 8 volunteers - there's a sweet spot between 5-6
- All food/groceries and cooking equipment is provided
- They will have directions for what to expect/prepare/and bring
- Begin around 3:00pm but volunteers are welcome to show up late if they have time restrictions
- Usually prepare a dinner but sometimes they do snack bags for the families @ the hospital - we can do either
- We would have the opportunity to serve the meal but it is not required
Parking:
The Hospital provides free parking for our groups in the Buchtel Parking Deck (P3) located at 201 W Buchtel Ave Akron, OH 44302. Directions are below.
Parking Directions from the House to Buchtel
1. Start on Locust St: Go straight until you reach the stop sign.
2. Turn Right: Take a right onto W Buchtel Ave.
3. Find the Parking Deck: Look for the entrance on your right.
4. Get a Ticket: Grab a ticket from the machine and keep it in your car for later.
5. Drive Up the Ramp: Go straight up the ramp and make four right turns.
6. Park on Level 2: You’ll be on level 2; park in any open spot.
7. Head Down: Use the stairs or elevator to go down one floor.
8. Exit to W State St: Follow the vehicle exit, cross the street, and you'll reach RMH.
