ANDREA MOORE
Proposed by Brian Steere
 
Andrea is an amazing individual with a lot of great energy.  Most of you have probably already met Andrea as she joined us back in April but her profile was not included until this announcement.  She is extremely engaged in the Club and very outgoing!
 
Andrea moved to Northeast Ohio from Tennessee in 2014 and quickly became active in our community. After working several years for the Menorah Park Foundation in Cleveland, Andrea joined the staff of Coleman Professional Services in 2016 as a Development Executive. She has worked with Coleman through its continued growth and strategic planning in the dynamic environment of behavioral/mental health services and medicaid funding.

Andrea is a former college softball catcher and has an amazing voice. She almost made Nashville her home to become a country music star.

Her sponsor, Brian Steere shared, "as demonstrated by her commitment to Coleman Professional Services and its mission, Andrea embraces the importance of service and supporting those who are less fortunate. She exhibits a genuine kindness toward others and is a natural extrovert."

AMY DAWSON
Proposed by John Margida
 
Amy is a Registered Nurse, assisting with the Women's Network Program.   Amy is a current member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Ohio Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau International, Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric & Neonatal Nurse, Women’s Network (Community Leadership Institute Graduate), Child Guidance and Family Solutions, City Club of Cleveland. 

She is a campaign volunteer for the Ohio State Legislature Election and volunteers at Akron/Canton Regional Foodbank.  She has held leadership positions at Sigma Theta Tau, Women's Network, and Child Guidance and Family Solutions. 

She has four children and two (soon to be three) grandchildren.  John Margida shared that Amy said, "I am committed to the mission of the Rotary organization, service above self, and deeply value community, relationships, and inclusivity."
 
 
GINAKAYE MADDOX

GinaKaye is a past member of the Club. She proudly served as the Rotary Club of Akron President in 2006-2007. 
 
She joined Leadership Akron in 2018 as the Program Director for Diversity on Board. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Justice Administration, and her Master of Arts in Communication and Rhetoric, with a focus on Public Address, both from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. She has completed her doctoral coursework in organizational leadership from Indiana Wesleyan University and holds a professional certificate in Business Ethics Management from Bentley University, in Waltham, Massachusetts.
 
A native of Akron, GinaKaye spent her professional career as a corporate training consultant most recently with the former FirstMerit Bank. While at FirstMerit, she developed and facilitated their diversity and inclusion curriculum. She is an accomplished speaker and facilitator and has presented nationally.
 
GinaKaye is a graduate of Leadership Akron Class 13. She has volunteered on numerous community projects and has served her community through several area nonprofit organizations, including past member of the Board of Trustees for Mobile Meals, Goodwill Industries, and United Disability Services. She was a three-time recipient of FirstMerit Bank’s Community Service Award. GinaKaye currently serves as Secretary for the Summit County Children Services Board. For five years, GinaKaye worked as a fact-finding mediator for the Ohio Civil Rights Commission and is presently the Vice Chair of the Akron Civil Rights Commission.  She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She has one son, and two adorable grandsons.
 
Always a champion for the edifying of others, GinaKaye’s inspiration comes from a quote by Michelangelo, who stated, “I saw the angel in the marble, and I carved until I set him free.”

BLAKE R. GERNEY
Proposed by John Margida
 
Blake is a Member of Brennan Manna Diamond.  With over 25 years of legal experience, Blake's practice focuses on commercial real estate, land use, construction law and business and corporate law, including development, zoning, construction documents, mechanics' lien law, commercial leasing, purchase and sale transactions, finance and loan documentation.  He also advises small and medium-sized businesses on a multitude of issues, such as mergers and acquisitions, business formations, regulatory compliance, employment and non-competition issues, corporate and limited liability company governance, asset protection and litigation.  Blake is one of only 15 Ohio State Bar Certified Specialists in Business, Commercial and Industrial Real Property Law, and the only Certified Specialist in Ohio in Summit, Stark, Medina and Portage counties.
 
He was in Leadership Akron and the Past President/Board Member of The University of Akron School of Law Alumni Association.   He serves a member of the Wadsworth Chamber of Commerce where he was Past President and a Board Member, and also is a member of the Association of General Contractors – Akron Division, and the Akron Bar Association (past Treasurer and Board of Trustee Member), Akron Bar Foundation (Board of Trustee Member). 
 
He was a committee member for the Akron Canton Food Bank Taste of Hall of Fame and Chair of Continuing Education for the Akron Bar Assocation. In addition, Blake served on the board of Junior Achievement (Akron) and United Way (Wadsworth).
 
His hobbies include being involved with his children's activities, playing soccer, running and reading.
 
Blake said, "I believe my interests, skills, and background puts me in a position to advance Rotary’s goals of promoting goodwill through service to others. I’m interested in Rotary as another opportunity for community involvement and to meet and socialize with like-minded individuals desiring to have a positive impact."
 
 
 
MORGAN GOLDTHWAITE
Proposed by Andrea Moore
 
Morgan recently joined her family in creating the Goldthwaite Safran Group of Morgan Stanley.
 
Her sponsor, Andrea, shared that "Morgan loves Akron and is highly engaged with the community."  She previously served as a very active member in the Rotary Club of Ravenna. She volunteers within her community with Coleman Professional Services in raising money for mental health services. She enjoys hiking and traveling the world.
 
Morgan s a former collegiate swimmer for Purdue. She is extremely engaging and personable with everyone she meets.
 
 

JULIE ANN SWEET-BUNTIN
Proposed by Katy Miller
 
Julie Ann is a former Rotarian of the Strongsville Club. She is an Akron resident, and heavily involved in her Kenmore community. 
 
She is a VP of SBA (Small Business Association) for Key Bank. She works the Akron Public Schools in the East CLC with the student Key Bank Financial Center teaching the students Financial Literacy.
 
Julie Ann has nephews with special needs and is drawn to our work at the Rotary Camp.
 
She is a graduate of Leadership Akron Class 35. 
 
As a former Rotarian and Paul Harris Fellow, Julie understands the principals, values and mission of Rotary as a whole. Her sponsor, Katy shared, "Julie Ann has been exposed to many things in our city, it is her love of Rotary that is bringing her to us to further her mission to serve."
