UPCOMING PRESENTERS Sep 12, 2023 12:00 PM Brian Kosarko, President Twin Pines Technology Brian Kosarko, founder of Twin Pines Technology, journey is marked by his dedication to both the world of technology and community service. Brian's educational foundation was built at the University of Akron, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Management and e-business. His academic pursuits were enhanced by his entrepreneurial spirit, reflected in his minor in Entrepreneurship. Brian's influence reaches beyond his tech endeavors. He previously served as Treasurer on the CF Chamber board and currently holds the role of Membership Chair in the Rotary club of Akron. He also proudly captains the Wavemakers Dragon boat team. Brian's journey into the world of IT was driven by his thirst for dynamic challenges. He found the ever-evolving nature of IT and computers to be the perfect fit, offering a different puzzle to solve each day. Beyond his professional pursuits, Brian finds solace in woodworking – a passion that led him to once raise a barn. Originally hailing from Perry by the lake, he settled in Stow with his wife Angela of 10 years and their daughter Madeline, along with an assortment of four-legged companions.   Brian's attraction to Rotary stems from its service-oriented nature amidst a sea of networking groups. For him, it's not just about personal gain, but about contributing to the betterment of others. Sep 19, 2023 12:00 PM Ilene Shapiro Summit County Executive Sep 26, 2023 12:00 PM Ben Tegel Akron Cooperative Farms Oct 03, 2023 12:00 PM Ron Kent, Jr. South Akron Youth Membership View entire list CLUB NEWS & EVENTS YOUR INPUT IS NEEDED     We have been talking with the folks at Akron Youth Mentorship about opportunities to serve the K-3 Students by reading with them on Monday nights from 5-6pm at their facility at 940 Mckinley ave Akron, OH 44306.   We would need to commit to having one Rotarian who can be there each Monday during the school year, per student.  I envision setting up teams of 3 Rotarians per student.  The team could be responsible for ensuring that one student doesn't read alone that week.  Based on the number of Rotarians interested in serving in this capacity, we can commit to more students.   The other opportunity to serve there is to provide a meal for 35-45 people (students/mentors) on a Monday evening.  We would provide the food and serve the food.  There is no budget for this.  We would need to share in the cost.  I thought this would be a good way to introduce our club to the facility and the program in the beginning.  From there, we can commit to serving some of the students.      Please let me know if you are interested in serving in this capacity as a mentor.
