During this joyous Holiday season, helping the less fortunate, particularly the youth and children with special needs, will certainly reflects the best nature of our giving spirit.

The "Planned Giving Program "established by The Akron Rotary Foundation provides an alternative channel of donation through planned giving. Some frequently used formats include, but not limit to, assigning the Akron Rotary Foundation as:

*    Recipient of a Bequest through a Codicil to Will; or

*    Beneficiary Designation in Life Insurance Policy; or

*    Beneficiary Designation in IRA or Keogh Plan, etc.

This program provides donors the benefit of no economic impact on their current financial status.

This funding program is intended to finance activities that benefit youth and children with special needs. Some of the ongoing projects include:

  • The Rotary Camp for Children with Special Needs;
  • Barrett Academy ;
  • Scholarships for high school and college students;
  • Rotary Exchange Students.

If requested, the Foundation will assist in securing legal services in setting up the bequest, codicil or other legal documents necessary.
