DEEPEST SYMPATHY

It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of long-time Rotary member Virginia 'Ginny' Wojno.

She joined The Rotary Club of Akron on November 10, 1992 and was proud that she had perfect attendance.

Ginny made a lasting impact through her service to the Rotary Club, Camp and Foundation, and served in numerous leadership capacities over the years.

Her dedication and warmth will surely be remembered by many. She always had a smile and hug for everyone she encountered.

There will be a private memorial service.

The family shared the following and advised that her obituary will appear on Sunday, October 6, 2024.

Our beloved Ginny has entered God’s ‘next level’ domaine this evening. Her passing was quick and pain free. The Angels at Justin Rogers Hospice took extraordinary care of her and quickly adopted her and her indomitable spirit as ‘one of theirs’!

It is notable that today was Ginny’s 95th birthday, and we all need to celebrate her life of blessing family, friends and community!

Arrangements were prearranged by Ginny with Summerville Funeral Home where cremation will occur, and at her request; her remains will be sent to St. Paul’s for internment in their memorial garden. An obituary (again, written by her-go figure) will be published in a timely manner.

She loved life and leaves a legacy of being a Saint to many!

Onward,

Nephew Mike Wojno and
Daughter Geraldine Kiefer
